PRO-TIG 170 DC - small, light weighted, powerful !

TIG-welding performed in a compact way. The PRO-TIG 170 DC is a real power pack with minimum weight. Ideal as a portable companion e.g. for the hard use on the building site. But also in the shop the TIG inverter shows all properties which you may expect from a professional device:

• The disconnectable HF-striking allows the welding near very sensitive electronically equipment such as e.g. the repair welding of CNCmachines installations or within sensor-controlled processing devices.
• With the selectable 2-cycle and 4-cycle function, you are able to weld rapid as well as controlled basting welds and long welds comfortably and fatigue-proof.
• Standard intergrated remote control jack - Herewith it is possible to connect optionally  food remote control or a remote controllable
  TIG welding torch SSR 17 DD Poti with a highflexible tube pack, leather protection and potentiometer.
  The PRO TIG 170 DC is universally applicable for all welding tasks on rustproof steels, high and low-alloy steels and on non-ferrous heavy metals and thus the ideal partner for any application. A high-performance electronic especially developed for this device allows 170 A TIG current! This power pack leaves nothing to be desired!
  
• INTIG Energy (Intelligent ignition Energy)
  With the INTIG-Energy, the PRO-TIG 170 DC rules the more intelligent type of strike energy control. By the highly developed process control, the optimum setting of the strike energy is performed as well for HF as for LIFT-ARC-striking depending on the selected welding current.
  Thus, you may be sure that the ignition does not cause any damages at the beginning of the weld when welding thin sheets.
  For Lift-Arc-ignition the tungsten electrode is prevented from rapid wear. For electrode welding, a strike superelevation is set with the INTIG Energy which guarantees a safe, smooth strike.
• The adjustable current lowering time and after
  gas flow time ensures optimum welding
  results.
• EPC - Electronic Power Control
  By the continuous elctronic power monitor circuit the working safety is guaranteed and an ON/OFF switching infarct is prevented. Furthermore, the edge life is considerably prolonged by the connected overvoltage protection. This newest inverter technology guarantees for excellent striking properties and an extremely smooth and stable arcing. You will achieve results of a quality which you have never achieved before!
• E-Max-function
  With this setting max 150 A electrical current for PRO-TIG 170 DC are available at 50% operating time.
• Overload-hold-function
  The overload-hold-function has already proven itself thousands of times. The power current consumption is electronically controlled and if
  required, the delivered power is reduced in order to prevent from releasing the mains fuse. In this function the welding current is limited
  to 140 A.
• Anti-stick-function
  When the electrode is striking unintentionally, the PRO-TIG 170 DC reduces the welding current automatically to about 35 A. Thus it events
  the electrode from burning out. The stick electrode may simply be detached from the workpiece.
• 100 m ? - no problem !
  With the ELSA system (Electronic Stabilized Arc), the PRO-TIG 170 DC guarantees an uninterruptible welding - even with a feeder of 100 m (by 1,5 mm2, of course). With ELSA, welding interruptions belong to the past!
• Modular assembly The individual components are assembled as
  complete compound-filled modules. The sensitive electronic components are well protected against dust and humidity. This increases the working safety and ensures a long servicelife.
  Temperature controlled ventilator switching The temperature controlled ventilator switching automatically adapts the requirements and reduces the noise emission. The temperature is measured within the power part - i.e. in the “hot spot”. Thus it is ensured that the power part is always optimally protected from overheating.
