    With the Manual Machine + (MM+) package, the SINUMERIK 808D offers you simple operation of the machine tool, in that all operating actions are supported by graphic help screens and operation is possible as with a conventional machine tool.

    The functions provided enable you to set up the machine quickly and practically for machining. These are in particular the determination of the workpiece position in the machine as well as the maintenance and measurement of the tools used.

    A comfortable DIN/ISO editor with complete GCode according to DIN66025 and ISO dialect is available for programming. The graphic input for technological machining cycles and contours supports you during programming.

    With the SINUMERIK 808D you have a powerful complete system at your disposal, which covers all the required areas of application without the need for subsequent commissioning and training:

    • Simple user interface for all machine functions
    • Flexible execution of individual machining operations without programming
    • DIN/ISO programming on the machine
    • DIN/ISO programming offline via CAD/CAM system
    • Automatic measurement of the tools in setup mode

    In the Manual Machine operating area, you can machine workpieces without having to create a part program for this purpose. The following functions are available:

    • Axis-parallel process
    • Taper turning
    • Radius turning
    • Center drilling
    • Tapping
    • grooving/parting off
    • Thread cutting
    • Machining of contours

    For the definition/parameterization of the function, you are supported by convenient input masks with help screens.
    The cross-slide is controlled via handwheels or axis direction switches/approval buttons or via the axis direction keys. The spindle is controlled via spindle direction switches or via individual keys for feed, stop and retract.
    Note: The machine manufacturer can specify in which mode the control is to run up (MM+ or standard).
