Opening of the new Agrostroj Academy in Pelhřimov, Czechia

On August 29, 2025, the new Agrostroj Academy in Pelhřimov, Czechia, was officially opened. Our partner První Hanácká BOW equipped the academy with high-quality machines from Optimum and Metallkraft. The equipment, worth around 5 million crowns (approx. €205,000), includes state-of-the-art milling, turning, sawing, and grinding machines, which are used in the classrooms.

On September 1, the first fifteen students began their training in two three-year technical programs: operator/programmer for industrial robots and setter/programmer for CNC technologies. The training is dual, combining theory and practice. With state-of-the-art technologies in the fields of CNC, robotics, machining, and welding, the academy offers forward-looking vocational training.

The project is a major investment by Agrostroj, which has invested around CZK 300 million (approx. €12.2 million) in the construction and equipment of the academy. The teaching staff are mainly Agrostroj employees who contribute their practical knowledge directly to the training. According to the company's CEO, Lubomír Stoklásek, it is the most modern school in Czechia. Agrostroj was apparently inspired by the legendary shoemaker Tomáš Baťa from Zlín. He built an empire that not only enabled employees to work “at Baťa,” but also to study and live in affordable accommodation.

Agrostroj is the largest Czech manufacturer of agricultural machinery and supplies renowned customers such as John Deere, Volvo, and Scania. The company employs 2,600 people and is expected to generate an estimated turnover of CZK 12 billion (approx. €490 million) in 2025.

We are proud that our machines are helping to promote technical education and develop young talent.
