Chamber of Crafts builds new training center in Bamberg

The Chamber of Trade for Upper Franconia is planning a new vocational and technology center at a prominent location in Bamberg. The purchase contract for the 32,500 square meter property, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the Brose Arena, has now been signed by the Upper Franconian Chamber of Crafts and the city of Bamberg.

A new building is planned to replace the outdated training center in Herzstraße, in order to enable modern teaching and training in the future. According to the Chamber of Trade, the skilled trades are still one of the most important industries in the Bamberg region today, with around 3,500 companies, approximately 17,700 employees and over 1,200 trainees.

Modern workshop equipment with modern machines designed to meet the needs of trainees is essential in order to provide the craftsmen of tomorrow with the right tools. Machines specially designed for training centers, such as the OPTImill MF 4V drilling-milling machine from Optimum, can be set up in just a few steps and are therefore ideal for training workshops. This way, apprentices can gain valuable experience during the training phase and use this as a basis for their further career path.
