At the LuxSkills 2026 trade fair in Luxembourg, students of all age groups had the opportunity to experience the world of vocational training up close.
Spread across three halls, thematically organized by age group from primary school through to upper secondary level, general education schools and vocational schools presented their information stands and teaching workshops.
The professions represented ranged from carpenter, timber framer, and electrician to automotive mechatronics technician and precision machining specialist, as well as dental assistant, hairdresser, and make-up artist.
We were also represented at LuxSkills 2026, presenting visitors with the world of modern mechanical engineering.
A particular highlight was the competition among the best vocational students:
Over six days, they crafted a workpiece from their respective trade, which was assessed by teachers at multiple stages and could be followed live by all visitors.
The fair is a government initiative aimed at sparking students' interest at an early stage and giving them a realistic impression of everyday working life.
We were delighted to have been a part of it!
