We, REHM GmbH u. Co KG Schweißtechnik, give you a three-year guarantee (from date of purchase) on the function of our welding and cutting machines in the event of material and/or manufacturing defects. The guarantee includes free replacement of parts and working time in the first and second year, and the material necessary for repair in the third year.

In order to make a claim under the guarantee, it is essential to present this guarantee certificate and the original invoice document, which must show the serial number of the device.

Under this guarantee, we will, at our discretion, either replace the defective unit or its defective parts with defect-free parts or repair them. At our request, the unit or its component must be sent to us immediately at the risk and expense of the purchaser. Replaced systems or parts become our property. The guarantee period shall not be extended by the exchange or repair.

This guarantee does not give any entitlement to compensation for additional and third-party costs, travel, time and labour costs of third parties, for downtime costs or for compensation for consequential damage. The costs of a repair carried out by the buyer or third parties are also not reimbursed. Likewise, there is no claim to the provision of a lending or replacement unit for the duration of the repair or replacement.

The buyer is not entitled to offset his claims under this guarantee against our receivables or those of the seller/dealer or to withhold payments.

Defects are excluded from the guarantee

• which are caused by misuse, disregard of our operating instructions / notes and improper use of the machine, or by the use of non-original spare and wear parts,
• through one's own fault,
• by unauthorised modifications and repairs,
• by overloading the parts beyond the specified performance in the operating instructions,
• by negligent or incorrect handling and use of unsuitable operating materials,
• due to inadequate equipment,
• by failure to comply with the installation requirements and conditions of use due to material provided by the buyer,
• caused by atmospheric discharges, overvoltage and lightning as well as chemical influences.

Also not covered by the guarantee:

• Damage caused by the actions of third parties,
• Wearing parts and parts subject to natural wear, such as all torch accessories (e.g. current nozzles, gas nozzles, nozzle assemblies, gas distributors, tungsten electrodes, guide spirals, gas lenses, collet and collet housings, etc.), wire feed rolls, coolant, hose packages, welding and cutting torches, intermediate hose packages, earth cables, welding cables, connecting hoses as well as power and control cables that are damaged or worn due to improper use, are treated as wearing parts.
• Non-reproducible software errors
• Delivery items that have been taken outside the EU without our consent
• Used equipment after the guarantee period from first sale
• Execution of repair work and spare parts
• Conversion or alteration of old as well as third-party and used objects

This guarantee does not affect your legal rights against us or your contractual rights as a buyer, especially due to defects, against your specialist dealer.

You can transfer this guarantee to your buyer when you sell your welding or cutting machine, provided that

• your buyer is located in the European Union,
• you hand over this original guarantee certificate to your buyer together with the unit,
• and the original invoice issued to you by your dealer.

However, the guarantee period is not extended by a sale. Please contact your specialist dealer for clarification of any questions and for asserting guarantee claims.

Outside Germany, there may be deviations from these guarantee conditions.
